I am so grateful that you were so patient with me. That is why I trusted you and went to treatment for compulsive overeating. Thank you so much.

My daughter had tried so many weight loss clinics, I was so relieved when you explained compulsive overeating to me and found her treatment. My heart felt thanks.

Just wanted to tell Donna she was right, I needed treatment and believe it or not I went and have been in recovery and even lost 42 pounds and have kept it off. I feel so good about myself. It is a true miracle.

Compulsive Eating Disorder - Identifying the Problem

Compulsive eating disorder has been recognized by healthcare professionals more than ever before. The question is not necessarily how many people suffer from a compulsive eating disorder, but how do I effectively deal with my compulsive eating disorder? Where do I receive the best treatment for my compulsive eating disorder?

A compulsive eating disorder has created so many problems in my life for so long it is hard to remember them all. I have tried diets. weight loss programs, appetite suppressants, have changed the foods I eat, exercised and prayed, each time falling prey to my compulsive eating disorder again and again.

Don’t misunderstand me, I did lose weight, but have never been able to maintain the weight loss nor feel any better about myself. Even with the loss in weight, which I gained all back and more, I continued to feel depressed, angry, ashamed, had difficulty with any type of intimate relationships and still felt the lingering cravings associated with my compulsive eating disorder. It wasn’t until I looked at my weight and emotional problems for exactly what they were and began to seek treatment outside of methods that viewed problem as strictly a weight problem. Compulsive Eating Disorder Treatment

After speaking to some eating disorder specialist I was convinced that I did indeed suffer from more than a weight problem. They explained to me that food and weight were nothing but symptoms of a greater problem and that I had used food as a means to cope with my feelings and these problems. The problems or core issues might range from;

• Sexual trauma
• Physical, emotional trauma
• Depression
• Mood disorders
• Substance abuse
• Failed relationships
• Divorce or even death

The more educated I became the more I understood his suggestion to explore residential treatment for my compulsive eating disorder; that I would receive the 24 hour support regarding cravings and the triggers surrounding my compulsive eating. I would receive

medical and psychiatric evaluations and treatment, not to mention, all of the comprehensive clinical care I would receive.

The last thing he recommended was to interact with a helpline such as compulsiveovereating.net to find a compulsive eating disorder treatment program that can provide the services that will meet my particular eating disorder needs.

With all of this said, Call 1-800-910-0684 for help with your compulsive eating disorder. Treatment works!
